About the Artist

Victor Gischler is an emerging artist in the classical music landscape. He has written several prominent works, such as Ouroboros, an orchestral piece which is currently a finalist for the American Prize in Composition, and Automatic, a guitar quintet that served as the basis for his undergraduate thesis. His music has been premiered internationally, in places such as Sofia, Boston, and his hometown Baton Rouge.


As a student, Victor has stayed very active over the past few years. He earned his Bachelors in music composition from Louisiana State University. Currently, Victor is studying music composition with Oscar Bettison at the Peabody Conservatory at Johns Hopkins.
